In this blog, we had a chat with Becca - our latest Marketing Executive intern - to get to know her a little better and find out what brought her to Creative Pod!
How are you finding working as part of The Creative Group so far?
I've only just started but everyone has been so welcoming and helpful. I'm finding it very interesting learning about the different marketing styles for each client and am excited about all the new skills that I am going to gain with the company.
What’s your background?
I’ve just finished a three-year bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Winchester. The whole experience was very challenging but in the best way; it expanded my horizons and knowledge greatly, both academically and personally. I lived away from home during this time which I found was a great way to gain independence and absorb myself in university life. I have returned to my hometown for now, and am ready and excited to launch my career in Marketing and Journalism.
Tell us something random about you
I love to travel anywhere and everywhere. I find the cultures and atmospheres of different countries so interesting to learn about and experience. It's a personal goal of mine to visit all seven continents of the world.
Who are your biggest influences?
It's going to sound cliché, but my family are definitely big influences of mine. They've taught me to never give up on my dreams and to always fight for what I believe in. My grandfather moved here from Italy as a young adult and has spent his entire life building and evolving a reputable business from nothing, and to have grown up witnessing this has been really impressionable for me.
As well as my family, I have definitely been inspired by disabled people in the business industry. Growing up with a physical disability, it has been invaluable to me to be able to see and connect with other disabled individuals who have reached their goals. They showed me that, with an adaptable and resilient mindset, I could aim high in life and achieve.
