In our latest blog, we would like to welcome our newest member of the Creative Pod team, Emma - who has joined as a Marketing Executive. Due to Tier 4 restrictions, we were unable to sit down with her, so had a chat via Zoom to find out a little more about her journey so far working with us!

How are you finding working as part of The Creative Group so far?

Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming! It’s always daunting starting a new role, especially during COVID-19, whilst working from home, but the team have a great support network and I’m excited for what the future holds.

How are you finding the working from home/in the office balance as a new team member?

Interesting! I’ve had my interviews and inductions via Zoom which is a little strange but the technology, systems and communication in place is first class, so I feel pretty ‘in the know’ and well supported already.

What’s your background?

Having completed my A Level’s, I decided university life wasn’t for me, so I began a career in the serviced office industry. I’ve since spent the last 5 years within marketing at Gatwick Airport and a large Tour Operator in the travel industry. I’ve just finished maternity leave after having my first baby in July 2020 and I’m excited for my next journey, at Creative Pod.

Tell us something random about you?

I grew up playing football and spent 6 seasons at Chelsea Women, before moving to Fulham Women for a further 3 seasons. I’m also a lefty which is rather unusual in the women’s game!

Who are your biggest influences?

I’d have to say my Nan. She passed away just 3 weeks before her 101st Birthday. If I can be even as half as strong, courageous and kind as she was, I’ll be ‘winning in life’.

What is your favourite quote?

I’m a huge Chelsea fan, so will have to go with Lamps...

‘I can’t stress the importance of working hard enough, work on all aspects of your game. If you do that and you have the ability, you’ll come through’.

Sharing is caring.
