Go Detailing is a newly formed business, which was founded by two brothers who had a passion for cars. The two brothers wanted to improve the car care experience by providing products that offer stunning simplicity and achieve professional results. On top of offering car care products, they run a private bodyshop for professional car repair and sports car restorations.
From our initial briefing, we discovered that the brand needed to be modern, quirky and slick. Something that was approachable for the average car user. We discussed colour options, and the purpose of the rebrand and what variations they required for both their online shop and e-commerce site.
The branding design and feel was signed off in a three stage process to ensure that it could work with all elements, including the newly introduced e-commerce shop for consumers to purchase products online in a quick and easy four step process.
We were asked to produce a website which was desktop and mobile responsive, as we all as being simple and easy to process and avoided pages cross selling during the purchase cycle.
We used a system called Sketch to design the site look and feel, before providing the customer with a prototype to enable us to conduct our first round of testing, before we develop the site. Within two weeks, the client had signed off the prototype and we began developing the site, using the platform Shopify (a widely used e-commerce platform). During the development, we integrated Royal Mail into the site to create shipping labels and invoices which saves the client time and ensures their customers receive their orders promptly.
The client has since had a training session and now manages their own e-commerce shop to add and amend the products available.
