Back in June 2017, Sarah Lyons joined the agency as a Senior Marketing Executive. Nearly ten years on, we’re incredibly proud to share that she’s stepping into the role of Managing Director. It’s a milestone that reflects not just her ambition, but the lasting impact, leadership and growth she’s brought to Creative Pod over the years.
Sarah Lyons commented: “10 years ago, I stepped into a completely different agency. It’s been a lot of hard work, a lot of laughs, ups and down (as any business goes through), but I am so incredibly proud to be stepping into the Managing Director role at Creative Pod, a business that has shaped so much of my career and life and that I care deeply about.”
Over the years, Sarah’s journey has been defined by consistent progression and a real drive to keep improving how we work. She’s introduced smarter processes, helped scale both our marketing and design teams, shaped our long-term strategy, and worked closely alongside our Founder and CEO, Matt Turner MBE, to guide the business through some pivotal stages of growth. Now, as we celebrate 20 years of Creative Pod, she’s stepping into this leadership role at a truly defining moment, balancing life as a new mum while helping lead the agency into its next chapter.
Sarah Lyons continues: “Becoming a new mum to my baby girl while also taking on this next chapter feels a little surreal, but in the best possible way. Both roles demand heart, resilience and big-picture thinking, and I am excited to bring all of that to drive the agency forward while showing my daughter what it means to be a working mum and a woman in leadership. We have an amazing team, a brilliant culture and ambitious plans, and I cannot wait to see what we achieve together.”
In 2022, Sarah became Creative Pod’s first-ever female Director when she stepped into the role of Marketing Director, a milestone that meant a great deal to our team. It was a moment earned through years of dedication, strong leadership and a genuine commitment to the agency’s success. Since then, her impact has continued to shine. In 2023, she was named ‘Employee of the Year’ at the prestigious Gatwick Diamond Business Awards and was also recognised as a finalist for ‘Businesswoman of the Year’ at the 2022 Dynamic Awards. These achievements reflect not only her professional excellence but the positive influence and inspiration she brings to everyone around her.
